Why the Degas function required?
Any cleaning liquid in an ultrasonic bath, in particular when newly mixed, contains air bubbles from the atmosphere. The air contained in the liquid or clinging to the surfaces of the cleaning items disturbs the forming of the ultrasonic cavitation and so reduce the cleaning effects:
With gas in the liquid the cavitational bubbles form too early and become too big. This keeps them from imploding. They gain size by oscillation and escape upwards out of the bath. It takes sometime for the air to escape fully out of the liquid, and only then the most efficient cleaning performance is ensured. This process is called "degassing“ and should be carried out before any cleaning starts.
